Telepath Psy Arena 2 is coming out this Thursday. Have a sneak peek!

Telepath RPG composer Tomfoolio has just come out with a couple sweet tracks that are going into Telepath RPG Chapter 3. You can check 'em out here:

The player will be updated with new tracks as I get 'em. In the meantime, have you checked out Telepath: Psy Arena 2 lately? There's already three full leagues, a whole bunch of classes you can choose from to build your team, buyable orbs, and randomly generated training battles.

The Psy Arena 2 build-a-battle contest (mentioned in my last news update) is still going on, so create a map annd head on over to the Sinister Design Forums to submit your best creation for a chance at getting it in the game!

It's time to start work on the second installment of Psy Arena, what with the many improvements to the game engine since the last one. In Psy Arena 2, the player will be able to build his or her own team from scratch, hiring units as desired. (There will be a slave market that the player can draw from.)

Over the next two months, we will be accepting battle map submissions from users. The very best maps will be included in the final game, and if yours is chosen, your name will appear in the credits to the game!

To submit maps for consideration, please design them in the TRPG3 Map Editorand post them here on the Sinister Design forums.

In other news, Telepath RPG Chapter 3 now has three full missions, plus the prologue, as well as a brand-new playable character who may choose to join you once you've finished Mission 3. Work on the game continues, and of course, you can play the latest updated version right here.

In case you haven't noticed, there are a whole raft of new attacks you can learn as the hero in Telepath RPG Chapter 3. Other cool new features: if you enter the right name for your hero when you start a game, you can access certain cheats. Also, you can now switch your hero's attacks, and there is a small host of new baddies to fight, such as the Bandit Leader, the Ghost, and the Ravinale Swordsman. Meanwhile, work continues on Mission 3! Come check it out.

Work continues on TRPG3. Mission 2 is mostly finished as I write--you can play through every battle and read most of the dialog. I had to code some new features in the combat engine for the Bandit Leader boss; I hope you like it! Check it out here.

Crypt 1 is now in-game! It's a traditional dungeon with puzzles and traps and such, the first of its kind in the Telepath series. I think it turned out well, personally. There will be more where this came from...

To give it a try: go inside the library at the very top of East Ravinale and talk to the guard there. Then talk to the librarian and ask her where all the books went. Once you get the quest from her, leave Ravinale and click Crypt 1 on the map.

Unfortunately, I've been buried in school work over the last few months, so I haven't been able to get much work done on Telepath RPG Chapter 3 lately. I did make some nice updates to the Special Sinister Design Edition of Telepath RPG Chapter 2, however, in that enemies are now pretty smart. (Almost as smart as they are in Telepath RPG Chapter 3!) Head on down to sinisterdesign.net to try it out.

Also, the Telepath RPG Wiki now has over 100 articles. Anythign you want to know about Telepath RPG, you should head on over and see if it's there. Also, feel free to contribute stuff you think it missing. The more articles, the better the wiki!
