Telepath Tactics: a new strategy RPG in Flash!

Posted by MalTheDestroyer - April 9th, 2013

Remember Telepath RPG? I've been working on its successor, Telepath Tactics, for a while now. I put it up on Kickstarter a few weeks ago, and we're now in the final week!

Like the Telepath RPGs, Telepath Tactics is a strategy RPG--but there's a lot of new, really awesome additions. You can shove enemies into water or water, where they will start to drown or burn; you can fling enemies of off cliffs; you can build bridges and lay down barricades; and just about everything on the map is destructible, from trees to doors to walls. Check it out:

This game is on Kickstarter for 6 more days. $10 gets you a pre-order for its release next year; $25 gets you the game right away, to play as I continue working on it; and $50 gets you all that plus immediate access to the map editor. (Did I mention that it has a map editor that lets you create your own custom campaigns? It sure does!)

There's less than a week left--come join us and help back this game!

Seems impressive! I especially like the terrain manipulation aspect. Not going to donate because my finances are somewhat limited right now, but I'll definitely buy it when it comes out. The map/campaign editor will be available in the full release, right?

Yes, it will be available with the full release.

Sorry, that was entirely accidental. Stupid Newgrounds, notify me when the comment is sent!

I asked you before why you needed $12,000 for a sound designer, but you deleted that comment, so please, if you don't want to seem so suspicious, could you just answer in the open why you need $12,000 for a sound designer.

Whoops, I clicked on the wrong link, sorry about that. Funding seems a lot more reasonable now. Congrats on winning.

Thanks!

Neat!

Personally, I spent quite a bit of time playing the original Telepath games, and am very interested to see how this will pan out.

With that said, I, as something of a student of the arts myself, am also very interested to see what new tricks you'll pull out in this one.

Particularly as a musician, when I look back at the very first pieces I made I really realize just how far I've come, and how many more impressive and skillful things I can do now; having seen your progress so far, I imagine that you'll have a similar moment when you compare Tactics to the original Telepath series.

I'd love to contribute, or since it appears the kickstarter is finished, have contributed, but meh.

Anyway, if you need or want, someone to provide any additional music, story, world building, translation to German, editing, or jokes, feel free to ask as I have several years of non-professional, if still impressive, experience in all those areas.

Plus I'm a published author, so that has to mean something.

Right?

Anyway, I expect great things from you, tschüss!
